Effective 2026-06-12. This is the whole policy — it's short because the site collects almost nothing.
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, loads no third-party scripts, fonts, or trackers, and contains no advertising. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Two things, both standard plumbing:
1. Web server logs. The origin server records standard access logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security monitoring and debugging. Logs are stored on hardware I own and operate, are not shared with anyone, and are rotated and deleted automatically within ~14 days.
2. Cloudflare. This site is served through Cloudflare's network for TLS and DDoS protection. Cloudflare processes visitor IP addresses and request metadata as a CDN/proxy; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. I do not use Cloudflare analytics features for this site.
If you email me, I'll have your email address and whatever you wrote. I use it to reply to you and for nothing else.
If you want anything deleted (a log line, an email thread), ask: laurens.whipple@gmail.com. Given the data above, deletion requests are typically moot within two weeks anyway.
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it. The page history is version-controlled.
